Limited weekend customer service telephone coverage. Wanted to call at 6PM Pacific due to flight delay from Kona to LAX. Not open. The need to know was immediate.

When you are traveling, please remember it is your insurance company's 24-hour emergency assistance number that you should be calling for any travel-related issues. In comparing insurance companies, I found the best rate and coverage for travel insurance through Nationwide. Thankfully, I didn't need to use it, but I would definitely consider buying insurance for a future trip with them. The phone representative was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in helping me pick the right coverage to fit my needs.

I always insure my trips that involve air/hotel/etc. outside the continental US. I have used InsureMyTrip for every one and have always been pleased with the product and the service. Fortunately, I have only had one minor claim and it was handled very professionally.

First time traveling with an infant. I wanted a bit more piece of mind. TruTravel did that. Luckily I didn't have to file any claims, so I can't comment on that, but I was pleased with the benefits, price, and piece of mind that the plan offered. I was also pleased that surfing is not an exclusion as it is for some plans.
