I got sick while on the cruise, my primary insurance covered the cost which I am pleased they did
the paperwork required by nationwide was too much.
when you have purchased travel insurance why do they need your boarding pass to prove that you went on the trip.
I will use your company again but i wont be using nationwide

    We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with Nationwide's claim process. Nevertheless, you may find that most, if not all claims departments, may require a copy of your boarding pass to file a claim. We cannot stress enough that you should save your receipts and proof of expenses so that you can be accurately reimbursed, whether it be costs due to a delay of travel for hotel or meal, or medical records for emergency treatment received.

We haven't had to use this insurance but appreciate the price for the coverage offered. We have found that the coverage offered by the cruise lines is lower and the prices are higher than IMT.

Not the cheapest, but a national well-known name and customized for cruise vacations. We purchased the cruise care Nationwide policy, which we have purchased in the past for other cruises. However, this time the trip was rerouted right before we left. We filed the claim for itinerary change. It was all filed electronically, with an automated response. We didn't hear anything regarding the claim for weeks, so wasn't sure what the status was, which I did not like. But in a few weeks, we received compensation that was exactly as stated in the policy. Other than the lack of status updates, we are very pleased with this policy - will definitely purchase again!

    We are pleased to hear that you received reimbursement under Itinerary Change - Port of Call Change - Prior to Departure 1,250 USD per person. Unique to the Cruise plans in some states, Nationwide offers reimbursement as indicated below:

    "ITINERARY CHANGE"

    "In the event a Cruise makes a Change in Your Trip Itinerary prior to Your actual departure date we will pay up to the Maximum Benefit shown on the Confirmation of Coverage.

    Change in Your Trip Itinerary shall mean the Cruise has a documented change of Port of Call from the scheduled itinerary.

    Verification by the Cruise of the change in the scheduled Trip Itinerary will be necessary for claim payment."

Fortunately we did not need to put in a claim this time. In the past Nationwide has been great. I would expect, if we had to put in a claim, it would have been processed as easily as before.
