Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Depending upon which state the insured lives in, the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Prime plan plan offers primary coverage for Baggage Delay, Trip Delay, and Medical Expense benefits. Please keep in mind that there is a Coordination of Benefits for medical coverage on this plan. If the insured has a health insurance policy that works outside the United States, the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Prime may pay in excess of the primary health insurance policy.Mar 27,2015

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. You can increase trip cost, and extend travel dates on a comprehensive policy up until one day prior to your departure date. After departure, no changes can be made to a comprehensive plan.Mar 19,2015

We felt secure in having this insurance. We have used Nationwide before and several years ago needed to file a claim which was paid promptly and refunded our money for a cruise we were unable to take because of a stroke my husband suffered two weeks before our cruise.

I have always purchased trip cancellation insurance, this is the first time I've ever needed it. My nephew died very suddenly, and of course I needed to stay to be with my sister and her family to help with funeral arrangements. I was able to get the costs back from the cruise line, but it did not cover the additional fare I had to pay to go at a later date, in a higher season, but that was my choice to go later in summer. The airline allowed a full change without penalty, which I was unaware they do, with a copy of the obituary. But I will continue to cover the airfare in case I have to pay airfare home if something happens mid-trip and have to purchase a fare home. Everyone at Nationwide was wonderful to work with, very empathetic and really cared about my circumstances.

We always purchase trip insurance before going on international trips, and when we get home, I'm always thankful that we didn't have to use it, but on the last day of our most recent trip, unfortunately, we had to use the insurance as my husband got chest pains, and we had to go by ambulance to the emergency hospital in Mexico. Luckily, it was just a heart flutter, so after three EKGs and some IV meds, we went home. The insurance we got, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company Prime, from Insuremytrip.com paid 100% of the bill that his US primary insurance didn't cover. I just got the reimbursement check today, and I only filed the claim last month.
