Got this cruise-specific insurance because it also included missed port insurance -- miss a port, and get coverage for the inconvenience. Low and behold, we missed a port on the covered cruise. Had to jump through a lot of hoops to prove that the claim was valid, but in the end, got a payout.

We take several things into consideration when we compare cost of travel insurance. We look at coverage, price, ratings by previous clients and the overall company rating.
