We got the plan as an option in the event we had to return home during our trip for an elderly parent. We were happy we did not have to use the plan, but we felt secure that we had the option to do so if it became necessary. Good peace of mind, and reasonable compared to other plans. Thank you!

Thankfully I did not have to us it. The thing I wanted it for was the burial plan. If I died in Bolivia my remains would be shipped home fully covered. My husband would have to pay nothing.

We were very pleased with help of your agents, however the Ins. Company Seven Corners emailed us the night before departure about a change in network providers effective during our trip overseas which negated all of our research and printed id cards. Furthermore the new info would not be available until we were already overseas. Instead of having peace of mind while on vacation, we got to learn who and where the new providers were and hunt down a printer for our new id cards and info. This caused some anxiety and apprehension. Not what we paid for. The untimely notification from the carrier was unacceptable, however the service provided by insuremytrip was fine.

Bottom line: Seven Corners paid for our trip cancellation due to a death of a parent. That said, it took way too long. I provided all the information they asked for. Several weeks later I was told they were missing some information. The information they were missing was in the same attachment for everything else they received, but I sent it out to them again. Three more weeks go by and I have heard nothing. I call a representative who was wonderful. She stated that they were still waiting for that one piece of documentation that I had sent for the second time. She had me send it again adding her name to the subject line. That worked! She received it and got back to me immediately. Then I continued waiting for 2 more weeks, so I sent another email. Several days later, I received an email (by the way, you get an automated email response immediately that says you will hear something in 24 hours. Hah! My first email to them never got a response). This time the email said that everything was approved and that they had issued the payment. I also received a voicemail saying the same. Great! When I didn't receive the payment after a week, I called. The rep apologized for the miscommunication and that it takes 10 days. Two plus weeks later, I'm calling back. The rep checks and says that the check should go out that day. I finally received it, and as I said in my first line, I got the money, but it should have never taken that long and required all the follow ups.
