When you purchase the insurance, make sure that you give the date you arrive back, not the date you return. I flew overnight. When I called, the company did not honor their website mistake.

Thank you for providing feedback on your policy. This type of information is very helpful in educating our customers.

InsureMyTrip recommends that you use the date that you leave home as your Departure Date and the date that you return home as your Return Date when quoting your policy. We call it “door to door” coverage.

You may have inadvertently entered the date on which your return flight actually left Argentina as your Return Date so that you did not have coverage for the overnight flight to New York. Since your Seven Corners policy certificate states that your coverage “will end of the earliest of...The date the Plan Participant returns to his or her Home Country or The date shown on the Evidence of Coverage or ID card issued by the Company...”, your plan ended on the date you left Argentina and not on the date that you arrived in New York. With this particular plan, there is an option to extend the policy during the trip, but an additional premium would have been required.

In the future, if you need assistance when purchasing the policy, please call us at 800-487-4722. Once again, thank you for your feedback.
