I submitted a claim with all the information requested on the application which I downloaded from their website. A few weeks later I was notified that they weren't using that form anymore and I needed to fill out a second form and submit additional information, which I emailed the next day. I got confirmation that the email was received and called to make sure they did not need any more information. I was assured that the claim would be processed. A few days later I received a letter requesting the information again. When I called, I was assured that the claim had been approved and I would get a check. It took another week, making the total time from submission of request to payment about 4 weeks. I don't know if this is typical. The repeated requests for a different form and additional information, felt like the company was hoping I would not follow through and then they wouldn't have to pay the claim.
