A good priced policy that was easy to book on line

Missed connection and waited in JFK for over 18 hours. The police says that is an assistance if you are stuck in the airport for $100. However when we called to talk how to claim that. The customer service said that was not covered.

I crushed my pinky finger in a door in Costa Rica and had to have it cleaned, stitched, x-rayed and splinted, which happened in a variety of little towns with varying degrees of medical facilities over a series of days. (They did a great job, but the teeny town where it happened didn't have X-ray equipment.) There were several different bills, which I paid both on site in Costa Rica and once I got back home. I uploaded all the invoices to WorldTrips Atlas, and just as I was about to follow up after about 10 days, a check for the entire amount showed up in the mail. So, communication was minimal, but they paid in full and the travel insurance was well worth it, even for just a pinky injury.

My main complaint is the unnecessary opaqueness of the process when I contacted them immediately after my injury. Only after I called their assistance services was I told that: 1. This travel insurance only reimburses (does not pay at the time) unless you are admitted to a hospital, and 2. That the assistance line is for emergencies only, not claims. The claims line is only open M-F 8:30 am to 5 pm EST, which is shocking considering people are literally traveling all over the world, in every time zone. The claims line does have a voice message at all hours, but only if you call during its business hours does the voice message say you can and should file your claim online, and gives a web address. Which I misunderstood because it's CBPConnect.com, but I heard as CBTconnect (so that could've been more clear). And why wouldn't that message be played during non-business hours also? When I was unsure how the process worked and what I should do, this odd level of unhelpfulness just added to my stress.

But overall, it worked and I ended up happy with my coverage.

I visited California for two weeks from other country. Unfortunately, I cut my finger during the trip and had to go to a neighbourhood urgent care. I gave the receptionist the policy number, she made a call and confirmed that I only had to pay for a copay of $15. I received the medical care I needed and felt that I made a smart decision of purchasing a traveler medical insurance prior the trip. I highly recommend everyone purchasing a medical insurance when traveling to the US as medical expense there can really break the bank.

I go on 3-7 cruises a year. This is the 1st time in 20 years I've filed a claim on 2 cruises to Italy within 3 weeks almost a back to back cruise. I'll say this, its better to have travel insurance than not. However, in the event of a claim, customer service is lacking i.e. Italy train strike. Basically, find a way on your own to get to your destination and put in a claim later. 50/50 chance you'll get reimbursed some 4 months later. World Trips is not horrible just don't expect any prompt response. I'll find another insurance carrier next trip.

Awful company. Totally a scam.

So, I submitted a claim over a month ago. They started the review of my claim 1 week ago, and then today, they rejected it. Reason given - unable to confirm the charges. ??? What?

They reviewed my claim in one week? Nobody contacted me ever? Not even any notification of anything? They couldn't confirm what? I got the receipts of everything, why nobody contacted me? It's absolutely ridiculous.

I've never dealt with a worse insurance company in my life.

Stay away from these scammers.

Not to even mention their awful website, FIX IT. Nothing works there.

This company is a joke, extremely likely a scam.

So, I bought insurance with this company. The first time ever. While traveling in Europe, I had a medical emergency, I went to ER for outpatient treatment. My doctor fees were under 1000 Euro.

I mean, any company can cover that? If they are not bankrupt right?

Well apparently worldtrips.com can not cover claims.

My claim was denied, on the basis of " We couldn't contact the service provider and we can't confirm that the client was there".

What? So, they reviewed my claim for one month? nobody ever messaged me? Not to ask for documents or more information, or not even to say the review process is finalized. Not one time anybody contacted me.

Then yesterday I logged in, to their awful website which is a mess.

I look around , and there it says, Claim closed.
Wow.

I mean, I've used other insurance companies before, for international travel. This one is the worst ever.

You want reliable travel insurance go with allianz, or with bupa. OR EVEN ! IMG.

Not this people at worldtrips.com

They don't pay out any claims.

By the way just read out the other reviews, all the 5 star reviews seem paid, or made by bots.

Go read the ones with one star, those are the real costumers.

Absolutely not recommended at all. They should advertise their insurance as " You're technically insured but, you're not. Because we won't pay out any claims"

Hard to review an insurance policy if you haven't put in a claim.
We took the trip knowing that we were covered and had peace of mind.
