My claim was fairly processed and it took 2.5 months to receive the settlement, which I thought was reasonable. The people I spoke with were helpful and they reached out to me via phone to let me know the additional information I had to provide. I was a little disappointed in the way they determined the trip interruption days and felt that I should have received a bit more per day because I had traveled a day before the trip actually began and they calculated that day into the daily amount of the trip cost. I think that I didn't explain that clearly enough for the person who settled the claim.
It was a bit difficult to communicate with them because the person I was working with was never available when I called and emails to their email address aren't answered very promptly.
Other than that I felt that I had received good service and would not hesitate to buy insurance with this company again.

I was pleased with the amount of coverage for the price. It was a pleasant surprise to receive an email shortly before our trip commenced reminding us of the policy and contact information. I would definitely consider using Insure My Trip again.

I have used this plan at least 3 times during the last year. On 2 occasions, I had a claim. The folks who process the claims for this company will "slow walk" your claim and ask for a pile of unnecessary documentation before you see your claim paid. However, in each instance, we eventually received the full amount we were entitled to. On one occasion, a customer advocate for InsureMyTrip was extremely helpful in resolving the issue. Bottom line: good coverage, fair price, slow claims servicing.

This company is super sneaky and you should read their terms with magnified glass. I usually good at going over exception and exclusions as one can't go over every paragraph of text but yet they denied the coverage when my wife missed the flight stating there is no coverage for trip interruption due to airline fault. when i pointed out their hazard clause includes any delays due to common carrier, the company came back stating only trip delays that cause the loss over 50% of the trip would be covered. I would recommend everyone to stay out of this one but what you decide is totally up to you, of course

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that your wife missed her flight during her trip. Acting as your advocate, InsureMyTrip contacted Tokio Marine HCC Medical Insurance's claims department to assist you with the claim. The claims representatives verified that the claims were adjudicated in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy.
Unfortunately, it was determined that the event that interrupted her trip did not fall within the scope of Trip Interruption for this specific plan.
As you mentioned the certificate states the following under Trip Interruption: "Your arrival on the Trip being delayed due to a Hazard that causes You to lose 50% or more of the scheduled Trip duration"
