I purchased the plan in good faith thinking I will never have to use. Unfortunately my husband Deonarine Prasad fell and broke his leg. I could not get hold of anyone lines busy and long hold times so I gave up. We handled ourselves with medical in India paid out of pocket expenses. With assistance of the airline somewhat we are back home.

Didn't need to use the plan but the basic coverage was very good. I had an accident a month before leaving and my doctor was uncertain whether I could go -- right up until 6 days before leaving. Knowing that I had coverage to refund my out of pocket expenses removed one layer of discomfort, at least!

I had purchased travel insurance in the past but never had a reason to file a claim. This was the first time we were filing a claim for travel cancellation due to medical reason and I was a bit skeptical about my claim settlement. However Travelex Insurance put all my doubts to rest. I called Travelex with questions and I got either "no" or "you'll have to speak with another department". Typical insurance company uselessness.
