We chose this plan because we have elderly parents and were concerned that we may be called back home should they become ill. Thank you! I had an unexpected medical issue that is quite serious. My doctor immediate filled out the form because she knew how much this trip meant to me, but she also was against me traveling until my surgery and recovery. Travelex was polite and professional when I called to see what steps to take in filing a form.
I received my check for the amount that I had already paid on my credit card before my trip was even scheduled to return. Thank you again.

We thought we may have a storm delay and may be another night in Rome...that is when I thought of my travel insurance purchase...to reimburse me for an unplanned night at hotel...it did not happen...'just glad I knew I had coverage in case.

After many changes to flights and accommodations I finally had to cancel the trip entirely. When completing the claim form I listed the departure date as the latest one after all the changes, which was about a month later than the original departure date. WRONG thing to do! Always list the trip's very FIRST departure date, not the final departure date after all the rescheduling. Apparently the claims adjusters didn't read the back up info that I included showing all the costs and an changes to the departure dates; they only looked at the final departure date and disallowed the costs prior to that date. They sent me a partial reimbursement check which was approx. ½ of my total claim I resubmitted my claim along with all the backup data (again) showing the original departure date and they finally paid the balance of the claim.
