We always purchase our travel insurance through InsureMyTrip, and usually choose Travelex plans. We have peace of mind because we have had friends who have had to make a claim, and they were treated well. We will be back.

Picking out the plan that provided the coverages was done easily online. We did not have to file any claims (thankfully) so don't how it would be working with the company in that regard. Travelex did a good job keeping us informed about our coverages, how to contact them when traveling, etc. So no complaints there.

The true indicator on insurance is the claim process. Insurance can provide all the bells and whistles giving people a false sense of security until they have to file a claim. Even though I gave 5 stars its by no means a good indicator. Personally only claims should be shown on this website to make a good decisions.

Thanks InsureMyTrip for your advice on the Travelex Travel Basic plan. This plan is just what I wanted and needed as a senior citizen on Medicare. I especially like the primary insurance aspect of the plan that provides a no hassle ingredient. I will try to purchase this plan again if offered.

I have purchased this plan for about 6 different trips. I filed claims the first two times for two different reasons. The claim process was easy, and the payment came quickly. This plan is a primary insurance--which is much better than a secondary plan where you have to go through your own insurance first. I plan to purchase this plan every time I travel out of the country. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful Caribbean vacation on the Jazz Cruise. It was only marred by the theft of my purse when I had left it unattended for a short time. My camera and several other personal items were stolen--thank goodness I left my cash and credit cards in the room safe! A Travelex representative gave me instructions on how to report the loss, and the value of everything (except prescription sunglasses) was promptly processed and refunded to me. Thank you Travelex!
