The price for the coverage was very reasonable for our family of 7 and covered what we felt was important. Fortunately, we did not have to use the insurance, but at least we had peace of mind that we were covered in case something happened.

The plan was reasonably priced and I believe it covered everything I needed. We were concerned about Covid 19 so chose this plan as it was included. However, in reading the policy it was a bit difficult to determine exactly what was covered (lodging if quarantined for example). Fortunately, we did not need it.

I did not know what to expect. I just knew that COVID and other traveling challenges could hapen and I wanted to have the peace of mind that I had some type of insurance. I made the decision to purchase 2 days before my trip and it was a price decision mostly. Did they have some type of coverage, would they help of I tested positive for Covid in Cozumel and what would I need to do.

I would NEVER travel with our travel insurance!! Medicare does not generally cover any medical expenses outside the U.S. with only couple of restrictive exceptions. Even if you're traveling with health insurance, don't forget you'll still be responsible for co-pays, deductibles and maximum out of pocket limits and health insurance doesn't generally pay for your care on board cruise ships in international waters, travel insurance does. Get, primary medical coverage as part of am comprehensive plan and that will also be taken care of for you! Don't be the person calling relatives for credit card numbers to get emergency treatment for a heart attack. (Saw THAT happen with my own eyes) GET PEACE OF MIND!!!

UPDATE: Shortly after I wrote this review, my claim was swiftly processed - no questions asked. On one hand, I appreciate that they didn't make me jump through a lot of additional hoops (though I did sent A LOT of documentation with the claim); on the other, it took three months with little communication and a bad review to get things moving. I think I would give this plan another try now that I know they can be helpful with a claim; however, I hope they can figure out a way to improve their turnaround time.

I've purchased many trip insurance plans throughout the years, and for the first time this December, I had a missed connection. I was glad to have trip insurance, and when I returned, I filed a claim. I submitted all materials soon after returning from our trip. I got an automated response saying that they were very busy but they would get back to me when I was next in line. I then got emails about two weeks and four weeks later saying the same thing. The last I heard from them was over a month ago.
There has been zero updates on my claim's progress. I chose this option because of its great reviews, but it looks like when you actually need to file a claim, they are not helpful. It's now been almost 3 months since I had to pay out-of-pocket for my missed connection, so I'm out that money as well as the money I paid for the policy. Very unhappy with this experience and policy.

While on the cruise someone had to be airlifted off the ship to a US hospital. I hope they had a plan and this is why I buy one. Never had to use it though but if I need it I will have it.
