I did not travel to the UK May 21 2022. This trip was canceled due to airline problems. I made no claims on this insurance. The airlines returned all cost. I was told I could transfer this insurance to another trip. I just received an e-mail from insuremytrip about a trip to the UK. No such trip is planned. I called and was told the insurance was just extended out a year? I was also told I had until November 16 to use the insurance or loose it. I filled a transfer request for a trip in October 18 thru 24 2023. I received an e-mail back stating I would hear within two working days. I still not heard back.

Unfortunately, per the policy, the reasons provided for the trip delay claim are not covered, and baggage delay coverage is available only en route to your destination, not when returning home. Plan was the best for my needs and the price was very reasonable. Fortunately I did not need to file a claim, having the policy in place gave me great peace of mind. I traveled in March with the same policy and did need to file a claim, it is still being processed. I will update my review as that proceeds, but so far other than submitting the claim I've heard nothing back.

Fortunately, we did not need to file a claim. We purchased this plan as it was highly rated for covid benefits, and that was our major concern. The price was somewhat high, compared to suggested prices on other sites, but comparable when the time came to purchase. Overall, I am satisfied and will continue to use Insure My Trip in the future.

It was comforting to know we had some backup if things had escalated to the point of the Ukraine situation extending throughout Europe and causing delays in scheduled airline travel. Also, with the required day before covid test to board the plane back to the US—which meant potential extra expenses—the Trawick travel insurance plan coverage made a difference had anyone in the family tested positive.

As with all insurance, as we purchased this policy trying to determine what is and isn't covered isn't clear. The only thing we wanted was "pandemic related trip cancellation" coverage (i.e. personal health/isolation, health of other passengers on trip, international travel restrictions/closures, multiple venue closures of major itinerary highlights).
Trying to make sure we had the coverage we "needed" was harder than we would have liked as the language isn't straightforward, which makes it seem like you are leaving loopholes in the policy that will result in disputes.
Luckily we didn't need it.

No reason I bought this coverage was in case I tested positive for Covid And will be forced to quarantine in the United Kingdom so this policy covered me for that. I am grateful that I did not have to use it but it was money well spent
