The Advantage Complete plan offers the highest limits of coverage of the four TripAssure plans, offering a broad range of covered reasons for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. Under Trip Cancellation there is Hurricane warning coverage, which is beneficial if you will be traveling during hurricane season and you have to cancel your trip within 24 hours of the scheduled departure date due to a hurricane. As well as offering Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, this plan also offers Cancel For Any Reason. Optional extended personal property coverage is available as well as optional sports coverage.

After much effort on our part, I finally got the claim paid. I had to get the efforts from Insure My Trip to intervene as well. Even after showing proof of the trip cancellation and that we could cancel for "Any Reason" TripAssure still gave me problems. After much pressure on them, they finally paid the policy required amount.

Very disappointed with the service I received from both Insure My Trip and Trip Assure Advantage. I called Insure My Trip twice about who to place a claim. They wanted nothing to do with me and told me to call Trip Assure. I called Trip Assure and was told someone would call back in 24 hours but no did. I called again and no return call. I then filed my claim on line and it said it would be processed and paid in 30 days. It ended up taking over 60 days and was only paid after I followed up and was on hold for 30 minutes waiting for a customer service rep. I used to be a loyal Insure My Trip customer but since this problem I have switched to another company and I will never use Trip Assure again.

Fortunately, we did not need to use any of the coverage, but we felt we would be well protected in any circumstance. There is, however, a lot of unclarity about how to add accommodations after airline tickets are booked. Also, it's hard to get a live person on the line.

You can insure the known costs to date, and once you make subsequent arrangements towards the trip, you can contact us at InsureMyTrip at 800-487-4722 to update your existing policy accordingly to include these prepaid non-refundable travel arrangements. This will keep your Trip Cost insured at 100%.

The policies were available for review on line. My questions were answered by a rep, accessible by a toll free number. I have purchased “insure my trip†policies over the years. I have not had occasion to use any policy so I can not comment on how a claim would be handled.
