Question:
I will be traveling overseas & plan to have some dental work (getting wisdom teeth removed specifically) done while I am gone. Would this be covered by any of the policies or is it only dental emergencies that are covered?- EricaP,05/20/2017
Answer:
Our policies wouldn't offer coverage for this as it is designed to only cover unforeseen injuries to your teeth when traveling. Also please keep in mind that typically you wouldn't be eligible to purchase a policy if the main purpose of your trip is to seek medical treatment.

Question:
If there is a serious dental emergency, can a dentist certify that you can't travel (for trip cancellation purposes), or does it have to be a 'licensed physician'?- BarbaraM,04/22/2014
Answer:
In this type of situation it would depend on the policy, but it would be possible for your dentist to contact your doctor, let them know the situation and your doctor would then be able to write such a certification if necessary.
