I have a question about this subject!

Question:

What is the difference between Secondary and primary plans and when will each benefit me who is on Medicare

Answer:

Primary coverage will pay FIRST, before any other collectible insurance. Secondary coverage will pay you after any other Primary collectible insurance has paid the claim and the Primary policy's limits have been exhausted. Secondary will essentially act as primary if your primary insurance does not cover you at your travel destination.

Question:

My medical insurance will provide coverage overseas bit only at the "non-network" rate which means I will have a fairly large deductible. Will medical travel insurance cover my deductible for my primary policy?

Answer:

Typically, yes, theses plans are designed to cover you for your out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered through your primary insurance. However, because we are a comparison site, the plans provide coverages differently. The easiest way to help you narrow the search is to call us at 800-487-4722 and we can help find the best plans for your particular concerns.
