I have a question about this subject!

Question:

My family is going on a "Land and Sea" vacation, with a four-day cruise and then a three-day stay in Florida. When providing the information for an estimate, should I request a "cruise policy" for the foreign port and separate one for the land portion? Or do I request a cruise policy and include the entire non-refundable cost of the trip, including the cruise AND the flights to the port AND any non-refundable down payment for the hotel in the trip cost? If we cannot go on the cruise because of an emergency or illness, it is likely that the entire trip will be cancelled. Thanks!

Answer:

You can insure all prepaid non-refundable travel arrangements with any of our comprehensive plans, you do not need to purchase separate policies for each leg of the trip. The number one covered reason for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption is the unforeseen illness or injury of you or a traveling companion that deems you unfit to travel, by order of a licensed physician; or the unforeseen hospitalization or death of a family member. To see all of the covered reasons to cancel or interrupt your trip, please click on the dollar amount that appears under the words "Trip Cancellation" when viewing a quote.

Question:

Is it possible to purchase only trip interruption and cancellation coverage. I do not need medical coverage.

Answer:

Unfortunately, we do not have a trip cancellation / interruption policy by itself at this time, and we are unable to remove any of the benefits from the comprehensive plans. We always suggest viewing the least expensive comprehensive plan if you are only interested in obtaining cancellation and interruption coverage.
