Question:

Are there policies that will fly me back to my home country for treatment if I like and the doctor pronounces me fit for travel?

Answer:

The companies MedJet Assist and OnCall International offer members discretion evacuation, wherein you can choose to be evacuated if you do not wish to receive treatment at your initial hospital. For this to work though, the trip cannot put your life in danger and you must have already been made an inpatient at a hospital.

Question:

If I were to die while traveling within the US, would your policy cover the coordination and shipment of my body back to my designated funeral home?
- RobertF,

Answer:

Repatriation of remains is a specific portion of evacuation coverage. The plan would pay to return your body to a funeral home located in your home city/town. Each plan has different exclusions and coverage limits, please click on the evacuation coverage limit for details.
