This review is long overdue. I bought the policy with "cancel for any reason". I had cancel due to a death in the family. I submitted all documentation to support my claim. Got refunded without any questions.

Thankfully my wife did not need to use this policy but it was a comfort to me to know she would be covered in the event of illness or accident. She was in the Philippines and unlike more modern countries it is not always easy to get the best healthcare and of course all costs have to be paid in cash up front before treatment is rendered which in my mind is outrageous.

Despite the fact that the country “required “ proof of medical insurance, we were never asked to show evidence of coverage. I felt like I threw money away but if I had needed to file a claim, you were there.

We got caught in the airline pilot "sick out" the last weekend of October, which caused us to miss our international flight from Miami to Quito Ecuador and miss the 1st day of a trip to the Amazon Rainforest. On November 19, the morning after we flew home, I filed my claim. I had to keep emailing for a progress report and was finally told it would take 57 days to process. I emailed on Day 57, January 19th; I was finally assigned an adjuster who asked me to re-submit all documents. I did that same day and was told it could take 6 wks to process. Today, February 28th, I finally got a check for my claim, $1030.

I sent all of my receipts and proof of airline changes. They did not try arguing and just paid the claim. I’m super happy. This is the first time I’ve ever filed a travel claim.
