My phone representative was super and deserves a 5 star rating or the highest you can get. She was very nice and patient in helping me understand the terms antd getting me into the best coverage for the money.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
We purchased this plan for our trip to Glacier. American Airlines canceled our connecting flight and this insurance company is not wanting to pay for us not getting to our first night AirBnB. Said that American Airlines said it was due to completion of pilot duties and that is not covered. It would be covered for weather, mechanical or strike, but not this. Who cares why it happened. This was caused by our flight being canceled by the airlines, not us. We ended up having to purchase new airfare and the cost was exorbitant. I figured we would at least get reimbursed for the first night hotel that we missed if not some of the new airfare. I am very upset and will NEVER recommend this plan again.

We also offer a free look back period with all of our plans to allow customers to cancel their policies within a designated period as long as they haven't already left on their trip or filed a claim. The plan you purchased includes a variety of different covered events under which we can provide coverage if your trip is interrupted. The plan is unfortunately unable to provide coverage for every event that might cause an interruption. If there is something specific that you want to be sure is covered, feel free to ask about it before you purchase the policy.     We were able to get payment for our trip in the end. It did take work on my end to speak to a manager and sending more information. American Airlines had canceled a connecting flight due to one of the reasons that had been accepted. I do believe any problem that an airline would cancel for should be covered, but it all worked out in the end. I suggest reviewing and comparing all insurances carefully. Thank you.

It's insurance. Preparation for unfortunate situations is never ideal. When all goes well, I question getting too much coverage @ $$, not considering when it is not enough.

I have never had to file a claim so can’t speak to that end. The purchase process was easy, but the cost of the plans were fairly expensive. Those of us who have never filed a claim should get a break on the price.

We had no issues with our travel so no need to file a claim. It’s hard to rate a policy if you don’t use it!
