We have used InsureMyTrip to purchase our travel insurance many times because of the ease of comparing plans and coverage. We always end up selecting Travelex Travel Select plan as the best value. On two past occasions, we had to file claims and they were handled promptly.

I travel frequently and I purchase the Travelex Basic Plan. I have never filed a claim - thus, cannot respond to how claims are processed.
I feel it would be most helpful if medical and medical transport coverage were bundled separately from other coverage. I repeatedly purchase coverage that I do not need.

It was the only company we found that provided helicopter rescue service, which was mandatory for the hike we were doing in the Alps.

When I purchased the insurance it was done with the understanding that if something happened while my daughter was in France, she would be covered. Since nothing happened in France causing me or her to use the insurance, I can't comment. That's why I brought insurance - hoping I would not have to use it.

For me, selecting travel insurance was like choosing the lesser of many evils from so many different offerings. It required compromises on levels of coverage to keep the cost down. I would have liked more coverage than Travelex Select included but did not wish to pay more a lot more.
