We had a trip and baggage delay on the return portion of our trip. Nancy handled our claim efficiently and effectively. It was paid in less than 30 days. However, a portion of our claim was not covered because the baggage delay only covered the outbound travel. Our delay occurred during a leg of our return flight. We flew from London to Dulles and were supposed to fly from Dulles to Home. Unfortunately, a problem occurred with air traffic control and our flight was cancelled until the next day. The airline would not give us access to our luggage. Read your coverage very carefully. I assumed baggage delay would have covered all parts of our trip.

Most policies will have baggage delay coverage on the outward journey only.
We strongly recommend customers read the terms and conditions of the policy within the review period to determine if the policy fits your needs. We have invested in CSA insurance for several past trips, including a tour of Scotland, ending on August 6, 2017. We filed a claim once, in 2011, when my husband required unanticipated back surgery a few weeks before a scheduled departure and received outstanding service from CSA so we have continued to enroll with them as we travel. Fortunately, we have not had to file with them again but are comforted that we will be well cared for if the need arises again.
