Very few reviews have gone through the claims experience, but I am one who has. My claim was paid in full. It took approximately 90 days to resolve, but the delay was mostly mine in providing a "cancellation letter" from the airline that the insurer would accept. Communication could have been better. No response to email inquiry. The day I called for a status update, I was told only to be patient. That very day, I received their check in the mail.

Appreciate that we can get a plan to insure the basic tour cost. While traveling within the United States, we don't feel it's necessary to emphasize the extra insurance for luggage, medical, etc.

For a few tense days it looked like we were not going to be able to travel, and contacted CSA about filing a claim based on travel cancellation. The representative was very knowledgeable, walked through the policy and what we would need to do. They even emailed a claim package. In the end, we were able to travel.

Travel Insured Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
Soon after I had arrived at my beautiful Swiss destination, I heard that my 89 year old mother had fallen and broken her hip, and was hospitalized, and was going to need surgery. I had to cut my trip short, but the insurance company paid for my losses of pre-paid train tickets, pre-paid hotels, airline ticket charges, and telephone costs.
The hotel that I was forced to stay at the night before my newly booked air travel was not covered. It seems they only pay for non- refundable charges, not charges that are incurred as a result of the illness of family member. The insurance company was wonderfully helpful. It took a little time for them to process the claim, but I was impressed and happy with the outcome. I would very much recommend them!
