The travel insurance provided very comprehensive coverage from a trusted company at a great price, compared to other providers. Very easy and efficient process to purchase the policy through InsureMyTrip. I did not have a need to file any claims, so I cannot comment on that aspect.

As I have not had to file a claim, I believe this plan was the best choice for me at this stage in my life. Medicare does not cover medical claims outside of the USA, so I knew I needed to have a plan that would cover any medical coverage I may need by traveling abroad. The agents were very helpful in explaining the benefits I would have, if an emergency or a medical need would happen while I am traveling abroad. I hope that if I do need to file a claim, that this insurance company will exceed my expectations.

The airline I booked my flights with began changing flight times a few weeks before my departure. They must have changed one or more of my six connecting flights, to and from my destination daily. At some points it was obvious I would not have enough time to get to the connecting flight gate. I thought the trip would be over before it started. Luckily I had bought insurance soon after booking the flight. As luck would have it the final flight times made it possible to make every connection and the trip went as planned. A little assurance for the unexpected helped stop a lot of panic and disappointment.
