Nationwide Mutual Insurance Prime
I have always purchased trip cancellation insurance, this is the first time I've ever needed it. My nephew died very suddenly, and of course I needed to stay to be with my sister and her family to help with funeral arrangements. I was able to get the costs back from the cruise line, but it did not cover the additional fare I had to pay to go at a later date, in a higher season, but that was my choice to go later in summer. The airline allowed a full change without penalty, which I was unaware they do, with a copy of the obituary. But I will continue to cover the airfare in case I have to pay airfare home if something happens mid-trip and have to purchase a fare home. Everyone at Nationwide was wonderful to work with, very empathetic and really cared about my circumstances.

The policy we selected seemed to cover the items about which we were most concerned, so we were able to go on a six-week trip with some peace of mind. At 10% of the cost of the trip, I felt this coverage was very expensive, so I sincerely hope there would not have been difficulties if we had needed to file a claim. I will say that InsureMyTrip is an asset!

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We do offer evacuation memberships which cover up to an unlimited amount of medical evacuation. However, the emergency medical evacuation limit on this specific plan is $500,000, which would be more than enough coverage for an evacuation/repatriation from any country to the United States.
