Fortunately did not need to use the insurance on a recent trip to Iceland. I did speak with someone on the phone during the purchase process who was pleasant and answered my questions satisfactorily.

This was an exceptionally costly trip and we had to book 2 months in advance so I did the insurance coverage. Normally we travel as a couple not tied to a group so we do not insure - we do not have to prepay everything. I was surprised that several people I spoke with had not done travel insurance. One couple that did had had a previous tragic experience and had to cancel at the last minute and lost all their money now regularly buy insurance.

HTH Worldwide Trip Protector Preferred
We had a 5 week cruise booked for about a year but had to cancel two weeks before departure date for medical reasons.

HTH paid the claim quickly with no hassle, simply asking the doctor to forward the medical records and issued the check within days of receiving them.

Outstanding trip insurance company!
