I bought this plan because it was one of the few Primary payer plans. I didn't have to use the plan. None of them are what I call reasonably priced but they're all pretty pricey these days.

Didn't have to use it (thankfully!). Clear terms and easy to read policy. I liked that I was emailed right before my trip with the policy info again - just in case.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Choice Cruise
I got the insurance mainly for the medical due to covering pre-existing conditions waiver. It also included compensation if the cruise line changed ports and I still went on the cruise. Cruise line changed the itinerary six months out, which happened just two weeks after I purchased the insurance. Contacted Nationwide to initiate claim, they promptly sent a form to fill out once the cruise was completed. The day I got off the ship, I sent the requested paperwork by email and I received a printed check two weeks later in the mail for the changed port compensation. I was very happy with the quick prompt service without any hassles.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
The insurance was not needed, but the peace of mind made it worth it. There were three medical emergencies on my trip. One required a helicopter evacuation. Another required a passenger be hospitalized in one port. The third was taken off the ship in another port by ambulance. I am pleased that I had coverage that was not needed.

InsureandGo Global Silver
Thankfully we did not need to use the coverage, but it was assuring that we had coverage just in case.
A fellow passenger ended up with an infection and used the ships doctors. Had to have blood work, antibiotics etc. and did not have coverage, ended up with a sizable bill.
