Fortunately, our air travel, transfers, port excursions, and 7-day cruise all went quite smoothly. While on our cruise ship, we spoke with a number of other passengers who experienced flight delays, cancellations, and other difficulties in their travels. I had a bad head cold and was unable to participate in a prepaid unrefundable scuba diving day. The dive operater wrote a receipt, signed with her contact email address to verify the legitimacy of the incident. But because I was not "evaluated by a physician" it would not be worth filing.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were ill during your trip. You bring up an excelent point about travel insurance. When becoming ill or injured, while on a trip, it is necessary to seek medical attention while on your trip in order to have coverages such as interruption and medical expenses reimbursed through your insurance coverage. Also, be sure to get copies of medical records and an itemized receipt. Don't forget that you can always call the 24-hour emergency assistance number for guidance. They are there for more than just emergencies and can provide other services as well.Mar 04,2015

I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the claiming process went. Traveling companion was hospitalized unexpectedly, and medically unable to travel. We got the claim form online, and filed the completed form on January 12. We received payment on the claim on January 30.
