C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
Purchasing the plan gave us piece of mind. You actually hope you never need it and in our case, we didn't. But when traveling so far from home and for such a long period on your own (no tours), there was comfort in knowing we had something to fall back on at a reasonable cost.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold
the phone number to assist me in Spain is a US number. This is not practical, since some cells will not be allowed to call internationally, even if it is collect. There should have local number to call to assist us abroad. I imagine this is easy to implement, since a local number could be used to redirect calls to the US if you need it.

One number is provided while you are traveling within the United States, and the second is an international number that can be used worldwide. Honestly, because i didn't have to file a claim....can't say one way or the other as to weather the coverage was good. But that is probably a good thing (Insurance unused means trip went smoothly).

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Did not have to use it, so I really don't know how good it was; however, from the comments, it seems good. In addition, in comparing some of the other policies, they all seem essentially the same. I'm satisfied that I did not have to use it, but it was there if I needed it.
