The company's tier 1 and some of their supervisors need some training, are inexperienced, and need to be better at how to deal with plan questions such as terrorist clause to better understand if your covered when traveling to a foreign country where a terrorist act occurs before traveling. Best course of action is talk to there manager. They need to do a better job at answering plan questions before buying.

We understand you spoke with our Customer Service Department about the terrorist attack that took place in Nice France in July of this year. The plans you were inquiring about can provide coverage in the event of a Terrorist Act that occurs in the city from which you are scheduled to depart or in a city to which you are scheduled to travel, provided the act occurs within 30 days of your scheduled departure date. That city also cannot have experienced a Terrorist Act in the 30 days prior to your coverage going into effect in order for coverage to be available. Our Customer Service Manager was able to confirm that we defined the attack in Nice on July 14th as a Terrorist Act and that no additional attacks have occurred in Nice France since that time. We have always looked for travel ex when using overseas and or travel insurance. Their competitive rates and being able to buy it directly helps us in choosing Travelex. Although we have never filed a claim in all the trips travelex has insured, I am sure we will not have any problems If we ever have to do so

I purchased the plan to cover my entire trip. I had 6 days on my own and a tour for 6 days. I tried to cancel the tour ( it was a hiking trip and I had unexpected knee surgery) and was told only the entire trip could be cancelled. I did not wish to, nor did I need to, cancel the entire vacation. Instead I wasted my money on a tour I could not and did not enjoy or utilize. Terms should be made much clearer before purchase.
