We travel to visit family, don't travel with valuable luggage, and our regular medical insurance covers us in Australia. What we need is a basic plan that covers trip cancellation, and emergency cover. Basically we have to buy way more insurance than we need to get this cover. It is impossible to rate an insurance plan unless you have the need to use it, which we haven't as yet. My past two experiences with making claims - once about 20 years ago for myself, and once about 10 years ago when my parents needed to make a claim - don't inspire much confidence in the insurance industry. The first claim never got settled, and the second one only got settled after 12 months of calls and letters when my parents discovered that they know someone on the board of the organization that they had gotten the insurance through. This friend called the organizations attorney who called the insurance company who finally paid up. Both cases were legitimate claims.

Overall satisfied. Two issues. When I first ordered policy online, there were multiple email related to what the policy actually covered. None were actually the coverage.
I had to ask a rep to email the real coverage. Very confusing. Would have preferred to have policy that would make direct payments to providers at a level above $1k

I was needing some assistance with my options and realized I had made and error in my first choice but within minutes you helped to set things right and get me the plan that I had hoped to be on. Helpful and great staff. Always patient and kind. Happy I never needed to use any of the options but felt comfortable and secure.

Fortunately I did not have to use my Global Alert plan, but it was reassuring to know if anything happened I had insurance. The Representative was informative and easy to deal with. I would use this travel insurance again if I travel abroad.

I had a lot of questions about which policy to go with, and they explained everything to me. The price was around half what we would have paid to the travel agent for great piece of mind. I am very pleased that I did not have to file a claim. The plan gave me the coverage and confidence that I needed in the event something did happen. The price was good and it provided the assurance that all would be well. I have already recommended this to a friend who did purchase a plan as well.
