It provided the medical cover I wanted. I didn't think the certificate was particularly clear about the eligibility requirements and how it works with Medicare-I had to call your toll-free number to make sure we were eligible.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
The quality of insurance is not what it SAYS are the benefits but what it DOES when you need the benefits. Previously, I'd rated this insurance as really good based on a fair price and answering my questions when I called. However, this time my luggage was lost by the airline on the way back home. Despite having a lost luggage policy, C&F indicated that they would only pay out after I had settled my claim with the airline and only if the airline didn't fully cover the cost of the lost items. Meanwhile, the airline wouldn't begin to settle my claim until the luggage had been missing for 21 days. When I inquired with C&F about coverage for delayed luggage--until my luggage was recovered or declared lost--I was informed that this was not applicable for luggage lost on the way home. They were unsympathetic to the fact that most of my winter clothes and shoes were in the lost luggage (as it was a two-week trip). According to the fine print, one had to request a claims form via USPS, which took over two weeks to arrive. When I called after not receiving it, I was told I could download it online via a website, but it turned out one needed a log-in code (which I didn't have) to access the document. In general, I felt the company was doing everything possible to discourage me from filing a claim.
As my luggage was ultimately found (shortly after being declared officially lost) and returned to me after 30 days, I never needed to file the claim with C&F. But it has left a bad taste in my mouth,and I don't intend to use C&F again, even if they are the less-expensive option.

    Comprehensive plans are designed to cover as many risks as possible, but is very rare for any insurance plan to cover all possible risks. The C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus plan is a Comprehensive plan which covers a wide range of perils and hazards. Unfortunately, it was determined that your baggage was delayed on the return home. The travel insurance industry standard is to cover baggage delay only on outbound travel.

Thankfully, I didn't need to use the insurance coverage, but it gave me peace of mind knowing that if something happened I would be covered. I will always use this when traveling out of the country.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Knowing I had the protection is reassuming to my family and myself. The good news is the trip did not realy test the questions above asked. Still I will buy it again through Insuremytrip, you will get remainder before you leave about what you have purchase as well as tips about travel. Never overdone.

AXA Assistance USA Silver
We were extremely unhappy that AXA would not reimburse us for a missed connection. We recommend that anyone considering this trip insurance not buy it. We paid more for AXA insurance than our friends who bought AAA insurance. Our friends were reimbursed immediately for the same missed connection while AXA refused to pay for the additional tickets that we had to purchase when our connection was missed due to a airplane mechanical problem. We appealed the refusal and were told since technically the delay did not meet their "3 hour requirement" they would not reimburse us. When asked if a appeal like this was ever granted we were told to the agent's knowledge "no such appeal had ever been granted".

    On behalf of the Insured, InsureMyTrip did follow up with AXA Assistance on the status of the appeal. Unfortunately the appeal was also denied since reimbursement under Missed Connection required at least a 3 hour delay. This delay totaled 1 hour and 43 minutes so reimbursement was denied.

Travelex Travel Max
I always take travel insurance and never had to use them except for the last 2 trips. A tooth broke i called Travelex and they immediately found me a dentist close by and made the appointment. I was reimbursed within a week after submitting the claim.
On the second trip I had to be transported to emergency in Paris. I called the insurance soon as I could. I did not get a bill when discharged but I have a year to claim if they bill me.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold
I didn't file a claim for reimbursement, but I did use AIG Travel Travel Guard when my luggage was delayed for 4 days during my trip. While the airline was slow to respond and confusing to deal with, AIG Travel was prompt, capable, and kind. I felt much more confident after contacting your representatives, and I credit your efforts with getting my luggage back to me, just in time for the second leg of my trip!
