Fortunately, I didn't have to use this insurance so I cannot judge about a claim. Many thing could happen in a trip and these insurances cover probably 50% of them.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
This plan was great! We had no problems on our trip but it was assuring that we were covered. This plan was much cheaper than the one offered by our travel agent. Would definitely purchase again.

Although we did not have to use this insurance, we felt comfortable having it. We saw 2 people removed from our ship due to illness and you just never know if it could be you. Also, with all the terrorists in the world, you never know if you will have to cancel a trip for whatever. Fortunately, it was all smooth sailing and all went well.

We always choose Insure My Trip when we go overseas, the plans offered give us many choices, and we usually save over those offered by the carriers (cruise lines, travel agents). In addition, the plans cover without reducing benefits as the trip nears, unlike many offered by the carriers.

I am not sure that we would recommend it because we did not need use it. I do not know how fast you pay out so how could I recommend something I don't know about? I am currently waiting on another policy for a refund for a vacation that I could not take due to the Doctor not releasing me to go. He signed all of the necessary paper work for me and I think the company is just stalling. All insurance companies are alike. They want our money but do not want to pay out when we need it.
