Due to a family emergency we had to cancel our trip. We thought that we were well enough insured but sadly this was not the case. Cancellation due to an injury or illness of a non traveling person was covered by the insurance, but only if that person is living in the USA, Mexico or Canada. It would have been nice if this was mentioned in the "small" letters before you purchase the insurance plan, or anywhere on the website. Only after purchasing the plan it was mentioned in the paper work that nobody ever reads! Costumer care was not helpful at all and only said: "you should have read the 20 plus pages after you purchased the plan". I think this kind of information should be more clear before you buy a plan.

While on my trip I called to inquire about medical coverage, reimbursement and the possibility of needing to extend my trip due to my child’s illness (and the type of documentation I’d need in order to file later). My calls kept getting dropped and I couldn’t get in touch with a single person. Absolutely useless.
