Thank you for your review. The premiums are based on the age of the travelers, the length of the trip and the cost of the trip. Premiums tend to be between 4-10% of the total trip cost insured. Not being an "insurance professional" I evidently purchased the wrong type of plan for our cruise. I sure wish they still had actual humans to TALK to and discuss/explain the options available and guide you to the correct plan.
Our trip was interrupted and we missed 2 of the main ports/stops. The insurance plan I purchased did not cover this! My paperwork was very misleading and have to be an attorney to understand the wording and exactly what I purchased.
I called customer service but not even sure they were with Nationwide or a broker.

We had an incident with our rental car, that wasn’t included in our regular auto insurance, of course we declined the Rental agency’s coverage, thinking we had the best and when we purchased the travel insurance we didn’t get the coverage for Rental Car. Since this was our first time getting travel insurance, we now know better! I was however grateful for the help of the travel insurance agent, as she directed us to contact our credit card company for the coverage we needed! Thank you for the help provided and saving the rest of our trip!

We unfortunately had to cancel our planned cruise owing to my wife requiring surgery. We filed a claim for the lost cruise cost and airfare. The insurance company asked for some additional paperwork from us. However, when we provided it, the claim was paid without any arguing. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to deal with the insurance company, and how fair they were. Our claim was paid in full, and the total time required was about six weeks. We are very satisfied customers!!!

This is the second policy I purchased in the past year. Thankfully we have not needed to file a claim. So I don’t really know how good the policy is or how quickly claims are processed. However the peace of mind was wonderful. The policy I chose would cover all my concerns if need be.
