I have used Nationwide Cruise plans for several years now. Two years ago, I had to cancel a cruise for medical reasons just three weeks before the trip. Nationwide was super - helpful in filing my claim, and quick to reimburse ALL my trip expenses filed with no questions, hassles or delay.
The plan also provides excellent medical and evacuation coverage during the trip. Hopefully, I'll never have to use it, but it's comforting to know there's great coverage should we ever need it. I also appreciate that I don't have to buy the insurance a short while after initial deposit.
The Nationwide plans cover much more than the cruise line insurance at only slightly higher costs - and it's so easy to sign up through InsureMyTrip!

We always go to Insuremytrip.com to purchase our travel insurance. The cost is always very reasonable, no matter which plan we buy. It's so worth it for the peace of mind it offers. We have only once had to use our trip insurance (not this recent trip), but it was easy enough and our coverage was perfect for the need. I recommend Insuremytrip all the time on social media. As we had no claims, there is really nothing to report with respect to our experience. Purchasing the insurance was easy enough and the policy appears to cover what we needed, if a bit pricey. In the end, how good an insurance plan is will only be known when you need it to deliver. The good news is, we did not need any assistance. The bad news is, we have not way to know what service we would have gotten had we needed it. For that it will be better to reference someone who has been in need of assistance.

Fortunately, i did not need to use my plan but i felt much better knowing if anything went wrong, I had coverage. I would not get travel insurance on a small trip but for this trip overseas, i felt it was too much money invested to not have insurance.

I had to cancel my trip due to an accident and the plan covered my expenses.
However, the claims administrator for JH, Seven Corners was not a company that I would like to deal with again. Their website and processes are archaic which resulted in many phone calls to follow up. There is zero transparency since you only talk to a customers service rep who knows nothing about the claim. Also, if you are asked for additional information, the SLA timing starts all over upon receiving requested information.
I finally received an email saying that they are sending a check so I'm crossing my fingers that it arrives in the mail.
