We have used InsuremyTrip many times and have always been satisfied with the plans. Our concern this time is not with InsuremyTrip but rather with Generali Global that carried the actual insurance plan. We used Generali also last year to cover our trip to Alaska and believe this was the source of the problem with this years trip to Brazil.
I clearly selected Brazil as our destination for this year’s trip. However, Generali somehow used our last year’s destination of Alaska in setting up the plan. It is definitely my fault for not reading the resulting paperwork all to the end - too many error-free plans in the past. However the week before we were to leave I receive an email wishing us a good trip to...Alaska! A rush of emails and phone calls followed. I give credit to the excellent customer service of Generali in sorting this out. However in the end they could only “promise” the destination had been changed since they “had no available form” to guarantee the change in writing. Be aware of this and always check the complete description of the plan you purchase!

I could not access my plan on my app like I usually can for some reason and of all times, this time I did not print it out and bring it with me so I had no access to the policy. I sent an email to y'all to see if you can help me access it but never heard back from anyone and was not where I could make a phone call to someone about it. It was rather disappointing in that respect, as I usually have great service with your company.

The plan provided good coverage for the price. I felt the price was a little high, but compared to other policies, still a good value. Luckily I did not have to file a claim, so I can only judge value based on comparative pricing for similar protection

It’s hard to review an insurance policy if you don’t need/use it. This policy was the best combination of coverage and price. It was less than half the price of the policy suggested by my travel agent, for the same coverage.

Plan covered everything that was expected. Just took a long time to receive refund. CBP associates who handled claim were very professional and courteous.

The night before the eclipse when my hotel was overbooked and I had no place to stay, and almost all hotels were full, I contacted Generali and requested that they help me find another hotel. They said they'd look for one and would call or text me back, but they never did. Their policy states on page 2, "Hotel accommodations: offers research and recommendations on hotels worldwide and book reservations if requested by you." I submitted a claim with proof of my call (incident #) and above policy quote, but they rejected it. They did not provide me the services stated in their policy.

I submitted a claim for trip delay and baggage delay. My claim was approved the very next day and a check is in the mail. They surpassed my expectations.
