InsureMyTrip was instrumental in choosing AXA. It seemed to meet all our needs and was way cheaper than the plan offered by the cruise-line. This plan seemed to offer help for contingencies we might face.

This is the first time I ever filed a claim. I was overall satisfied with how the claim was handled. My claim was a result of my tour provider cancelling my tour to Turkey so some of the items that I was out money on was not covered by the trip insurance such as visa costs as I ended up rebooking a different tour to another country since my vacation timing needed to remain the same and no trips to Turkey were available. It is difficult to anticipate all of the reasons that can cause you to cancel/ change a trip so review the coverage carefully to see if you can live with what is covered and what is not covered.

Although I eventually got my money back, it took a couple of months with many faxes, phone calls and emails. My claim was finally processed fairly, but it was not prorcessed promptly.
