The peace of mind we had knowing we had a good insurance plan to cover all issues made to trip all the more enjoyable. I will definitely purchase trip insurance on my next trip with AIG, they gave me confidence that I needed to be in a country far from home and with a language barrier.

I was fortunate enough not to need the insurance but had the peace of mind in having it. I chose AIG because they were the only company that was willing to help you in a crisis overseas while you were in the crisis, not just with the financial once you returned. The reviews for AIG shared experiences where customers had an incident while abroad and AIG helped them find medical treatment and coordinated the payment directly with the hospital. AIG was willing to support and see you through the whole incident. That is the kind of company I wanted to have watching my back.

Your representative I spoke to on the phone was very helpful, all of our questions were answered and we felt much more comfortable traveling to China.
As it turned out one of our bags did not arrive with us when we returned to the U.S. somehow it got separated from our other baggage at the airport Beijing China. Knowing I had purchased travel insurance really put my mind at ease while I waited for word on my luggage. The bag was found and sent to my home a couple of days later so no claim had to be filed, but I was sure glad that I was insured.

First trip we've insured. We did so because we were using a tour company not used before, booked and paid for a year and a half before the trip, and going to a country so far away, China. So glad we didn't need to use the AIG Travel Guard insurance, but it was comfortable to know it was there if needed.
