Thankfully we did not need to activate any part of the policy but it was good to know it was there if needed.

I am pleased to say that I did not have to file a claim for this trip. However, one member of the group we were traveling with had a small stroke on this trip and was evacuated to a hospital at one of our ports of call. The cruise ship staff handled all the details and were very efficient but the medical portion was at this person's own expense since he did not have any insurance. I will always take trip insurance just in case as this will be a very expensive trip for my friend including the fact that they only got to be on this 14 day trip for 3 days and consequently lost all of that expense as well.

Claim process took much too long. I faxed required information on Jan 5, your system showed received on 15th. Took about 6 weeks from my completed FAXed claim until payment. Much too slow.
