Thankfully we don't have to use the plan, but we are just not certain if this plan is right for a cruise and with all the stops it has made or at sea. It's priced right for us and all the verbage at first glance says we're covered. But knowing the insurance industry and all the particulars needed to be met to be eligible for a claim is not in our domain. We saw someone in a medical evacuation fly out using the US Coast Guard in the middle of nowhere and we definitely hope it will never be anyone one of us. The marketing or plain English is still not plain enough.

I didn't focus on medical expense coverage, which was probably too low, when I purchased the plan. (I was focused on medical evacuation coverage, which was fine.) Next time I will. Fortunately, I didn't need to file a claim.

The plan covered all of our needs. After missing a connection that would require an overnight stay, with a phone call the insurance agent reviewed our plan giving us the dollar values for our needed service. The airlines came to our rescue so no claim had to be filed.
