Thank you for reaching out to us. In order to cancel a policy, we require the insured to send us an email requesting the cancellation. According to our records, we did not receive an email (nor a phone call) requesting cancellation of your policy. Additionally, if you were to have cancelled 3 days after the conclusion of our 14-day free-look window, a refund for your trip cost would only have been given for a covered reason as outlined by your description of coverage, assuming you cancelled the entirety of your trip and not just the insurance. It took Roam Right three weeks to acknowledge the filing of the claim. The claims department asked for documentation of the exchange rate which was sent within 24 hours. It then took another five weeks (plus an email inquiring about the status of the claim) before we received checks.

It is difficult to rate a plan when there is no claim to file. The most important aspect of any insurance plan is how claims are handled.
