It seems irrelevant to comment when I did not have to use the plan. Often it is when one tries to claim that one discovers the true mettle of the company. But, I needed to buy insurance this time and the terms were what I was looking for.

So happy with this coverage. My dad was diagnosed with cancer right before our Africa trip and we weren't sure if we would be going. It was a comfort to know we would be covered in case we needed to cancel. Happily, dad has responded to treatment with ongoing success. Would highly recommend this affordable insurance to anyone traveling on a big trip. Happy camper!!!

I wish the cost were lower, but.............that being said..................there is comfort it knowing that at 80 years old, I can still travel . As careful as I try to be, things can happen. I would not travel out of the USA without it . I have never had to use it...................but then.................I do not want to.

My cell phone was stolen while changing trains in Naples Italy. We reported this to the ticket office and filled out a report but did not have time to get a copy. When I filed a claim for it, AXA wanted a police report which, being back in the states, could not be obtained. I showed them emails suspending my service with Verizon and having Samsung disable my phone. You can not talk to an adjuster just someone in customer service and they can only read your file to you. I paid over $600 for the insurance and was only asking to be reimbursed $175. BAD, BAD!!!

We are sorry to learn of the unfortunate instance that occurred during your trip.
We have received the following response from AXA Assistance USA:
"We appreciate the feedback you have provided. We are sorry to learn you weren’t completely satisfied with your purchase. Unfortunately, when filing a claim for stolen personal effects, a police report is required as stated in the benefit description of your policy. In the future, you may call us during your trip so we may assist you in clarifying policy benefits and with the claims process prior to incurring additional costs. We sincerely hope you will consider us again for future travels."
This is an industry standard procedure regarding stolen personal property with travel insurance.

We did not need to use the plan but had to last year. I had a serious injury and it was comforting to know that both insure my trip folks and AXA were there when it was needed. I insure all our trips with AXA through Insure my trip.
