I was so surprised at how quickly and efficiently they processed my claim. The process was clear and relatively easy (since I was able to print out my credit card statements, and we'd saved our boarding passes from the changed flight) and their turnaround was only about 2 days. I am very impressed, and would definitely recommend this policy and this company.

Thankfully, our trip went on without a hitch, so I didn't have any reason to use the insurance . . . except that it covered my rental car, which was a great savings for me. That was one thing I had not thought of before -- getting travel insurance coverage that includes car rental. What a dummy!! Lol. Great to know you have companies with a wide array of plans. It wasn't hard to find just the right combination for my trip and at what I felt was a very reasonable price.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip because our beloved cat got terribly ill less than a week before we were to leave. Since I cannot find any trip insurance that covers pet illness/emergencies as a covered reason for canceling or interrupting a trip (which I do not understand as pets are family members and they can have emergencies too), I always look for the "cancel for any reason" benefit on policies, and this one also had the "interrupt for any reason" benefit. Luckily we realized we had to cancel in enough time to be covered as I found out that even though we had "cancel for any reason" coverage, if it had been less than two days (I think) before the beginning of our trip we wouldn't have been covered, so check your policy details for this "hole" in coverage time. I believe that there are some gaps in time for "interrupt for any reason," too.
At any rate, when I called C&F they were very responsive, helpful, and pleasant. I was able to email them all of the documents they needed for my claim and I got a nice phone call several weeks later letting me know the claim was approved and the check was on its way. I ended up buying the exact same policy when we re-booked our trip after our kitty passed away since we had a good experience with this company.
