The travel insurance policy we purchased appeared to be a good one for our needs and was offered at a reasonable price, but since we didn't file a claim for an insurable event, we really can't give a reliable evaluation of the policy. Hard to say anything really about this or any travel policy until a claim is filed and the insured experiences how the insurance carrier responds. Since I didn't file a claim, it would not be fair for me to assign a five star rating to any of the survey questions. On the surface, the policy did seem to be priced reasonably given it provided "primary" coverage. Most travel policies, like the ones offered as an inexpensive "add-on" offered for optional purchase with the purchase of airline tickets, typically only offer "secondary" coverage meaning that the policy only pays a claim after any other existing "primary" insurance policies applicable to the claim (if any) pays out first. I liked that this policy provided "primary" coverage for a reasonable price.

Price for the coverage provided was great. Didn't have a claim so I can't say how well they handle claims. Be sure to get the sports rider if you may possibly do activities. It's not always clear if the riders are included until you read the fine print so be sure to just ask.

This is the second time we have insured with Travel Insured Trip Protector and, once again, are completely satisfied with both the product and the service. We received our documents promptly and found the prices very competitive. I especially liked being able to view a variety of products when making the choice of one that best suited our needs. Worldwide Trip Protector
WE had a terrible experience with no functioning air conditioning in our hotel room while in Jamaica. The night were hot, sticky, restless and pretty much sleepless. It would be nice if the insurance covered issues like this. It was almost unbearable and most certainly not what one would expect especially because of the place we stayed at. Our family of 4 was very disappointed and incredibly uncomfortable. Such a shame.
