In the past we have used the insurance to cover prepaid cruises. This time we were traveling with reservation for various hotels and transportation where we were committed to pay if the stays or events were not canceled by a certain date (3 - 7 days before reservation.) It was hard to figure out how much insurance to buy. I'd thought that if we got injured in Rome and had been unable to get to our Sorrento hotel (incurring a penalty equal to the 3 night stay), we would have been covered, but when we contacted customer services, they said that only pre- paid items were covered. Fortunately we had no issues--but I wonder if there is a policy where commitments are defined in advance and covered.

This is the second trip that I've used a CSA Travel Protection plan. Although I've been fortunate enough to not have had to file a claim, I've felt a sense of security during my trips in case I did encountered any problems.

I thought pricing & coverage represented a better deal than some others. Purchasing & documenting the coverage was a breeze & instructions for what to do if... were clear. Fortunately, I didn't need to file a claim so can't address that.

We were very pleased with the value and ease of obtaining travel insurance for our cruise. We were able to purchase insurance online. It was easy and quick! Was good to know we had the coverage if we needed it...fortunately all went according to itinerary. I thought the premium was slightly high for exposure but all in all I would use your service again for a trip of similar magnitude

CSA provides the coverage I need in unfamiliar circumstances where, as on this recent trip, accidents happen in the most precarious places. In recent years European cities have become incredibly crowded prohibiting all but foot traffic in most historic areas. The climb to the Parthenon is a treacherous hike with few balustrades and slick, uneven surfaces and steps. A member of the tour in front of us fell and rolled twenty feet before someone could stop her. She was completely at the mercy of Greek emergency services which were quick and efficient. It appeared that she would need hospital care. I hope she had good insurance. It eases my mind that I am covered for this kind of contingency overseas. Really, I would never leave the country without that assurance.
