When I compared the coverage to other plans, General Global Assist seemed like the best value for the money spent. Hard to judge how they would have handled claims, since Thank G-d we didn't have any issues.

Hard to evaluate something like insurance that thankfully was not used. It was a necessary cost since we have elderly parents who might have had a health issue requiring us to cancel our trip or return early. Would hope these policies could be less expensive.

My wife and I experienced a major disruption to our trip when the air carrier, Iberia, cancelled our outbound flight and was unable to re-book us for 3 days. We filed a claim with Generali and they handled the claim promptly and fairly.
