We had a medical outlay, but your claims process was lengthy and difficult to understand. In regard to the first two questions, who knows, since we didn't file a claim we don't know if you covered anything or not. Was the plan cost reasonable? About the same as your competitors.

    Generally, the insured person is required fill out a claim form, a patient authorization form, and submit a copy of the explanation of benefits, medical bills, trip itinerary, and proof of payment. We advise that customers review the claim provisions prior to departing on the trip and keep a file of all documentation that may be important to a potential claim.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
CSA originally denied part of our trip interruption claim. A phone call did not help, but a follow-up e-mail explaining the situation in more depth caused CSA to pay the entire claim. It took a little persistence, but CSA ended up by doing the right thing by reconsidering their original decision.

Having the plan provides peace of mind. On our last trip, two people had to leave the ship and go to the hospital. Knowing we had this coverage gave us the comfort if we needed medical services.

My husband and I always purchase Travel Insurance, for peace of mind. At our tender age, you never know what will turn up. I was a travel agent for years and tried to help many customers, who didn't purchase the insurance, that alone taught me to expect the unexpected. We went on a cruise so we purchased a comprehensive plan that had trip cancellation, trip interruption, as well as, baggage coverage, terrorism, travel delay, medical and emergency medical evacuation. Best part, is 24-hour emergency assistance. Thank you.
