I think this plan is OVER PRICED for a 16 day coverage. Happy I did not have to use it & deal with any hassles with the insurance company I made my purchase from.

    Comprehensive plan premiums are calculated based on the age of the travelers, trip cost, and length of trip. You chose to purchase the Generali Premium plan which was one of the few plans that included the preexisting condition waiver as long as you purchased the policy prior to or on the date of final payment and insured the total cost of your trip. The Premium plan was also the most expensive of the Generali plans since it offered very generous coverage limits and broad terms and conditions.

    In the future, you may wish to call us for a quote within 10 days of your initial trip payment for more competitive pricing on plans offering the preexisting condition waiver. We are available weekdays from 7:00 am to midnight ET and weekends from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm ET.

Since fortunately, I did not need to activate my policy, it's hard to review it intelligently, but the purchase process and the advice I received from the agent was very good. So I did feel I had purchased a product that provided both good value and good coverage.

I got the plan to cover unexpected events. Glad I didn't have to use it.

Wish all I could get a partial refund since it was not used. Reward those of us who didnt run into issues.

This company is impossible to reach by anyone trying to find out the status of their claim. My claim was received by them on 9/25/17. In mid-October I called twice to check on the status of my claim, left my number for a promised callback and never received one. I sent three e-mails with no response until I finally received one back on 10/26 saying my claim (with a claim number provided) had been received (one month after it was), stating high claim volume. I checked by e-mail about my claim status once again on 11/9. On 11/15 I finally received an e-mail that CSA would pay my full claim. I received a check on 11/24, two months after they received my claim. Once one has a claim number, there should be a system whereby one could check the claim status online. It was very frustrating not to have any information regarding my claim and to have such difficulty contacting CSA.

    Thank you very much for your comments. You are correct that at this time members do not have the ability to check the status of their claim online. However, we will pass your suggestion onto CSA Travel Protection.

    In the future, you may want to call customer care at InsureMyTrip to ask us to assign an advocate to follow up on your claim.

I really needed The insurance because we have an elderly family member and I wanted to make sure that if anything happened with me covered. So I wish we could've gotten something a little less expensive but otherwise I was happy with that
